The Tickerz turns 666 real companies into 666 animated generative artworks by oxnfw. Each begins with history. Its value here is cultural and subjective.
On the stock market, a company is divided into fungible shares. Here, each company becomes a single non-fungible cultural object: its history, mythology, failures, ambitions and place in collective memory.
A collector may choose Nintendo for childhood, Porsche for cultural weight, Lehman Brothers for its place in financial history or SpaceX for the future it projects. Choices, listings and sales create another reading of value, unrelated to market capitalization.
These are artworks, not shares. A Tickerz grants no ownership of, or financial exposure to, the company it represents. That contradiction is the work: symbolically owning a company while owning none of it.

The Tickerz began with that question. oxnfw uses generative systems to turn corporate histories into moving works, exploring the space between markets, memory and the value people assign to symbols.

VOC was founded in 1602. Its public-market record ends in 1799. Those dates, its sector and the events in between are inputs to the artwork.
